Fall festival will be Thursday at 6:15.
Spirit day is Friday. Please join us for our morning assembly at 8:15.
In Spalding, we will enter list 11 and be tested on list 10. We will complete rule page 8 (additional phonograms).
In language/writing, we will learn about direct objects, verb tenses, prefixes and suffixes. We will complete grammar lessons 37 and 38. We are learning how to write a research paper. We will use grammar workbook lessons 36 and 37 to help us write and evaluate our research paper.
In reading, we will learn about the different types of texts. We will learn about legends, fables and folktale this week. We will read "The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush," a fable and a folktale. We will continue with our book study.
In math, we will learn how to compare fractions on a number line and we will learn about metric and customary measurement with regard to capacity. We will complete lesson 40 and investigation 4A on tenths and hundredths.
In science, we will continue our study of natural resources, including soil. We will discuss the effects of limited resources on an environment. We will differentiate between renewable and nonrenewable resources. We will learn about the impact of humans on ecosystems. We will read B Chapter 3 Lesson 2.
In social studies, we will read unit 1 lesson 2 on Arizona's regions, natural resources, resource conservation, and product maps.
