Announcements:
We need the syllabus signed and returned to us ASAP. The supply list needs to be fulfilled as we still have many students who do not have materials needed to start the school year. Please make sure your child is in dress code when coming to school, this includes outerwear. Some classrooms may be colder than others so we suggest leaving a sweater in the classroom, so the child can get it if needed. Water bottles should be coming to school daily. It is still very hot and we want the kiddos to stay hydrated. We will continue going over procedures in class, please continue to work on things in the syllabus at home so there is a clear understanding of expectations. If you have anything that needs to be emailed to us we do have our emails on the school website, as well as getting an email from us soon so you can save our emails. Please be working on Math facts nightly while the homework load is light to get the students back in the routine of knowing their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division up to 12. Academics; Spalding- We will be going over handwriting and phonograms this week. There will be a benchmark just to see where they are in spelling and in phonograms. Language Arts- We will be working on a reading and writing benchmark Reading- Students will receive their Poem Packets, Reading Log and AZ report which we will go over in detail with them. We will also begin with our book studies. Math- We will be doing a math benchmark to see where they are in math along with timed tests. We will also work on Lesson 1 in class from our Saxon math book to show them correct formatting. Science- We will work on formatting our science assignments. We will also be diving into chapter three lessons 1 and two. Social Studies- We will work mainly on the AZ report and questions that students may have this week. Please take the time to look over the report and send it back with them each day, so we can get as many questions answered as possible. Comments are closed.
