Students are to be working on their state report and recitation for November.
Class spelling bees will be held this week. Spelling bee study packets were distributed in mail last week.
Early release Thursday for staff development.
There is no school Friday.

Our Learning this Week:
In Spalding, we will enter list 12 and be tested on list 11. We will study rule 17.
In language/writing, we will learn about linking verbs, gerunds, verbals, apostrophes, and suffixes. We will complete grammar lessons 39 and 40. There will be a grammar test on Wednesday. Students will be completing a five paragraph informative essay on Lou Gehrig. We will use grammar workbook lesson 33 to guide our writing.
In reading, we will finish our study of the types of texts. There will be a study guide Tuesday for the test on Wednesday. We will continue with our book study.
In math, we will complete investigation 4B on relating fractions and decimals and practice the multiplication principle of counting.
In science, we will learn about resource conservation. We will read B 86-B89 and B54-B57.
In social studies, we will finish unit 1 lesson 2. There will be a small quiz on Wednesday.
