Our Learning this Week:
In Spalding, we are entering list 4 and being tested on list 3. We are entering notebook page 7, which teaches students the multi-letter phonograms.
In language/writing, we will learn about adding multiple adjectives to sentences, using helping verbs correctly, using adjectives to show degrees of comparison, and using suffixes. We will complete grammar lessons 15 and 16. There will be a grammar test on Tuesday. In writing, we are learning to write informative compare/contrast paragraphs.
In reading, we will continue our study of reading strategies. We will read the Master Spy of Yorktown in our Open Court text and focus on drawing conclusions as we read. Students will have an assessment on Wednesday over the text. We will continue our book study.
In math, we will complete lessons 19, 20 and investigation 2, learning about elapsed time, rounding, and units of length and perimeter.
In science, we will finish our study of human body systems. A study guide will be given Tuesday and the tests will be given on Thursday.
