Writing - persuasive essay introduction
Reading - Read 'Medicine Past and Present' and focus on chronological order/sequencing. Book study on Thursday.
Math - Daily timed tests. Saxon 14 study guide and test. Lessons include 3 digit answers and mass/weight.
Science - How Do Scientists Measure?
Social Studies - Continue reading on British influence in colonies.
The Reference page is due Monday along with the Biography.
We have tutoring still going. Please be sure to notify the teacher weekly on the days you will be going.
Science fair documentation form is due next week the 13th. This is pages 13-14 on the science packet.
Spalding- We are entering list 21 in our books, and will have a test on list 20 on Friday. There will be a 70 phonogram test on Thursday, along with a Morrison and McCall 50 word test on Wednesday.
Language Arts- We will be discussing suffixes "ition, ity" prefixes "dia", root words and apostrophes. We will also be doing grammar lessons 69 Objective pronoun, 70 personal pronoun case, grammar test 13 and lesson 71 which is diagraming pronouns. In writing we will finish our Compare and contrast poems, and start with our persuasive papers.
Reading- We will be giving a study guide for our Main idea test on Monday. The test will be on Tuesday. The students will be introduced to text structure on Wednesday, and then work on chronological order. We will finish the week with our book studies.
Math- The students will be doing their board timed tests this week. WE are working on lessons 71 Division answers ending in zero, 72 finding information to solve problems, 75 Measuring turns, and circumference of circles.
Science- we will be reading about density this week and doing an investigation on Tuesday. If you have cereal and or raisins you would like to donate, please send them in on Tuesday. We will also be working with matter and energy before we start our "How do scientists measure" worksheet.
Social Studies- We will finish reading lesson 3 and have a quiz on lesson 3 on Thursday. We will start reading lesson 4 which is westward expansion.
