Weekly Announcements:
Some quick notes: Friday is Spirit Day. Please join us for our morning assembly in the gymnasium at 8:15 AM. Just a reminder that students will have math homework each night, including finishing any incomplete timed tests. Please continue to review your child's agenda to check for any notes, to write your own notes, and to ensure that they are writing the homework down consistently. Thank you for sending in those box tops! These really add up in helping our school. Academics: In Spalding, we will enter List 2 Spelling Words and will be tested on List 1 (Wednesday practice test/Friday final test for students who didn't quite make 100%). In Language/Writing, we will learn more about common and proper nouns, singular and plural nouns, and verb tenses. We will complete grammar lessons 9-11, and will have grammar test 1 on Wednesday. We will continue reading in our book studies (Tale of Despereaux, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nymn, and Holes - the study depending on which teacher your child has). In Math, students will have Test 1 on Monday. We will complete Lesson 11 (Addition Word Problems with Missing Addends), Lesson 13 (Adding 3-Digit Numbers, Lesson 14 (Subtracting 2-digit and 3-digit Numbers/Missing 2-Digit Addends), and Lesson 15 (Subtracting 2-digit Numbers With Regrouping/Subtracting Money).
