- AZ Report is due Friday, Sept. 28th. - The first poem recitation is due Sept. 27th and 28th titled Rappin' with Language. - Box Top collection will be this Friday. Please bring in your box tops! - Tutoring will begin this week (Tutoring classes are by invitation only). Following is the tutoring schedule with contact information for each teacher. Ms. Loreto will be offering tutoring for her class and Ms. Boehler's class Tuesday from 7:15-7:45. Students will go to morning recess after tutoring. Ms. Boehler will be offering tutoring for her class and Ms. Loreto's class on Wednesday from 3:30-4:00. Students need to be picked up from the classroom at 4:00 or they will be taken to Boulder Club. Miss Magnusen will be offering tutoring for her class and Mr. Ho's class on Mondays from 7:15-7:45. Students will go to morning recess after tutoring. Mr. Ho will be offering tutoring for his class and Miss Magnusen's class on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:00. Students need to be picked up from the classroom at 4:00 or they will be taken to Boulder Club. If your student is in Mrs. Boehler's or Ms. Loreto's class, they may attend tutoring Tuesdays at 7:15 (Loreto's room) and./or Wednesdays at 3:30 (Boehler's room). Language/Writing - The students will complete grammar lessons 23-25, which are complete or run on sentences, correcting the run on sentence, and capitalization of titles. The students will have a test over lessons 1-25 on Thursday. For writing, students will continue to work on writing informative paragraphs and this week's focus will be on compare and contrast. Reading - The students will continue to study and practice reading strategies and mental actions, focusing this week on making inferences. We will be reading a Greek Myth and continuing with our book studies. The students will have a reading strategies test on Thursday. Math - The students will complete lesson 21 on triangles, rectangles, squares and circles and continue working with shapes, radius, and diameter. They will also work on lessons 22-23 focusing on naming fractions, line segments, rays, angles, and inverse operations. Science - The students will continue their study on animal adaptations.
